Tait J. Lundgren
Since joining The Foster & Buick Law Group in the winter of 2009, Tait has focused his practice in the areas of General Commercial Litigation and Family Law. He works with clients on a variety of issues including divorce, legal separation, post-decree matters, child support and custody, visitation, paternity, and property division. He also regularly appears in both State and Federal Courts.
Born and raised in DeKalb, Tait recently returned home after spending the first five years of his legal career as a general practice attorney in DuPage County. After graduating from DeKalb High School in 1994, Tait attended the University of Dayton where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1998.
Upon graduation from college, Tait enlisted in the Army and served three years active duty in the 3rd Battalion, Eighth United States Cavalry Regiment of the 1st Cavalry Division, including a four-month operational deployment to the Middle East. For his military service, Tait was awarded three Army Achievement Medals, The Army Commendation Medal, and the Combined Joint Task Force Expeditionary Forces Medal.
Upon his discharge from the Army in 2001, Tait returned to DeKalb to attend the Northern Illinois University College of Law graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2004. While in law school, Tait served as Lead Articles Editor of the NIU Law Review and was also named a 2003 Balfour International Legal Scholar. Tait was licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2004 and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2006. Tait is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association as well as the DeKalb and Kane County Bar Associations. Tait is also a member of DeKalb VFW Post 2287 and the North Aurora Lions Club. Tait and his wife Sandra live in North Aurora with their Irish Jack Russell Terrier “Rudy”.
